CHESS are delighted to announce that a workshop proposal by Guido Giunti, ESR 3 was accepted for the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) conference which will take place in Washington DC, USA on 4th November 2017.
Guido’s workshop will be on “Designing Gamified Applications for Empowering Patients” which offers participants the chance to learn the basics of gamification and engagement strategies, and to explore new design trends and approaches for building Connected Health applications that motivate patients.
AMIA is multi-disciplinary and interprofessional organization that captures the breadth and depth of medical informatics. With over 40 years of history, AMIA meetings are widely regarded as the world’s most comprehensive meetings on biomedical and health informatics, providing a broad range of sessions on timely topics of informatics. This Anual Symposium supports research and practice in five domains: translational bioinformatics, clinical research informatics, clinical informatics, consumer health informatics, and public health informatics. AMIA audience members are subject matter experts in the science and practice of healthcare IT and medical informatics with individuals related to clinical care, research, education, policy making and industry.
