CHESS won 3.9m funding under the Horizon2020 People Programme and the project commenced in September 2015.

It is Europe’s first networked Connected Health PhD training programme and will recruit 15 PhD students internationally to cover 4 main areas of research and training in Connected Health.

These four areas of research and training are:

  1. Care
  2. Data
  3. Change
  4. Sustainability

There are 18 partner organisations involved in CHESS, from 8 European countries including universities, companies and healthcare providers.

Details of the 15 successful PhD students, who will be known as Early Stage Researchers (ESRs), will soon be available.
